Kate meets Wondie, "The Wonderful Elf" - Kate named him- we have adoption papers from Santa and everything :-) Santa sent Wondie to watch over the kiddos until Christmas. The story is that he travels to the North Pole every evening to report to Santa and then flies back before morning and is hanging out at a new location the next morning. The kids can talk to Wondie, but cannot touch him- and believe it or not they did not touch him!
The first snow!!! What a blessing. I suited up the kids as soon as they woke up and we went out to play before it melted... Then we came in for some yummy hot cocoa and marshmallows...Winter is officially here in my book!
Kate, Jax, and Sid met Santa at the Castlewood neighborhood clubhouse. Unfortunately, I had Sid sit with him first...as you can see he was not happy about it. Thus, Kate and Jax were a little apprehensive. I had to sit in between them for them to sit for the photo. :-) We went next door to play at the playground for awhile afterwards.
We actually put up lights outside and inside this year- it was very special. We usually only have limited lights, so this is the most I think we have every done...Thanks, Daddy!
We had fun watching the Christmas tree light up at the Shops. We met our friends, The Alejandros, to enjoy the festivities.
Kate and I enjoyed riding the horse drawn carriage with some of her friends from Lamb of God. She said, "Mom it is my first time to ride a REAL LIVE HORSE!" - just like Charlie in a book she loves that was her daddy's when he was little.
Kate's school, Lamb of God, has a live nativity scene and petting zoo every year. The kids loved it!
Right before Sid pulled this one's tail and poop pellets came out...got to love it- Ha!
Sweet Sid...
Kate and I had fun making strawberry nutbread. A Hardesty family tradition...Mom made it every year growing up.
North Pole Express compliments of Gigi and Poppy! The kiddos wore their pjs and were so excited for the train ride. We had a blast!! Thanks Gigi and Poppy!

Singing during the pre-show with Uncle Chris...
Hot Cocoa and gingerbread cookies afterwards...
Christmas at Mimi's! We had some yummy bbq and had a great time celebrating Christmas with the Wood family.
Kate had a little accident and cut her fingers. Luckily, Uncle Chris was there to doctor her...
Christmas party and recital at Kate's school...
Christmas Eve...We went to service at church and our car got stuck on the hill a street over. We parked and walked in the blizzard home. I loved it...Justin on the other hand thought we moved to Texas to avoid times like this :-)
A Christmas miracle!
We stayed in Christmas eve due to weather and Uncle Jared and soon to be Aunt Ashli joined us. We had some yummy munchies for dinner.
The night before Christmas.. cookies, carrots, and milk for Santa and the reindeer...

Santa brought some goodies!
Wondie found his way to the top of the tree on Christmas day...
Nana and Papaw came after the big snowfall in OKC. We had a quick, fun visit with them. Check out this great doll house/bookcase Papaw made by hand for Kater. She loves it!!!

We were so grateful to have our friends Michelle and Meira Epperson come for a visit this summer. Here are some pictures...
We had a great time visiting the American Girl store and having lunch...
They were so excited!
They let the girls borrow a doll and a high chair for the doll and one for Kate's American Girl dog, Coconut.
This is the doll styling counter. Yes, I said DOLL styling counter. It was so funny- they do doll hair- it was funny and interesting to watch.
It rained so we let the girls play in the rain before a warm bubble bath...
We were also so excited that the Carter's came for a visit...
We all went to my grandfather's birhday party in Ft Worth!
What a treat!!! We hope you will all come back and visit again soon!
