We celebrated Easter for a couple of weeks at the Parsons home. We enjoyed participating in many Easter events. The first was the Castlewood Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. We were so glad that the Parsons were able to join us...the kids had fun!
arriving...

Kate was quick!
Sid got one egg this year...
Here he is celebrating with his one egg!

Kate was a little timid, but Sid loved the Easter bunny!

Sid enjoyed playing in the clubhouse with Nana and the kids...
"I love that bunny!"
We also enjoyed a great Easter egg hunt at Kate's school with her classmates...
Although, I am having trouble locating her school pics...I will upload them if I did not accidetly delete them! :-)
Next we celebrated the holiday with my family at my sister, Emily's house. The food was delicious and Em had lots of treats for all of the kiddos- Thanks, Em!
Yup...that is my dress that I wore when I was little for Easter. Thanks, mom! She made it- just a reminder about how things have changed. That may be the last hand made dress my daughter will wear! :-) It was precious...
Becca and Zach Long- Jax's cousins and great babysitters!
Kate and the Dentists! You know she loves it! She got shy after begging to take a pic with them...
The Easter Egg hunt...they're off!
Dolly made Kater a beautiful tutu for her birthday! Thanks, Dolly- and for all of the Easter goodies!
A hair cut...after all Emmy just gave Poppy one on the back porch...
Jax earned his yellow belt in karate!!! We are so proud and loved seeing his moves!
Easter Sunday we enjoyed worshiping at our church in the Village and celebrating that Christ has risen! We had a low key day. We went to early church and made brunch as a family. Kate and I made "Resurrection Rolls." Each ingredient symbolizes some component of Christ's resurrection. It was a fun learning experience and the rolls were delicious!
Kate loves that baking...
The Easter bunny brought some goodies...

I can't believe that Kate is 3! She will start pre-school next year and is almost fully potty trained!- Praise the Lord! We had a lot of fun this week with many small family celebrations.
On Tuesday Kate celebrated her birthday at school with some pink fruit cup cake treats (the teachers prefer we not send cookies ,etc. I guess the kiddos are already hyper :-)) We made little sacks and Kate put stickers in them to send home with her friends. She is really into pink now and loves this book "Pinkalicious." It is about a little girl who eats so many pink cupcakes that she turns pink! ... and has to eat green veggies to turn normal again. So, her teachers were nice enough to read it to the kids while they celebrated.
On Wednesday, her official birthday, we drove to Denton so that she could go out with
him on a special lunch. Sid and I ran errands and Kate and Dad had a great time at Chucky Cheese. It was her first visit and she loved it.
Later that afternoon we made strawberry cupcakes together. She loves to help in the kitchen...
Kate loved decorating her cupcake with sprinkles after dinner.
Sugar!
We celebrated earlier in the month with Gigi and Poppy, Emmy, Chris, and Jax...
Close your eyes...it is a surprise!
See that cute chair cover with the sparkling "K"... Nana made it for her special day! It is adorable. It ties around the chair and has a ruffle at the top and some cute ball trim around the bottom. It made for a very special meal.

Daddy took a couple of days off of work to help do some things around the house and took us on a family field trip on Friday. We had a blast!! There were so many fun activities for the kiddos here. We will be back soon!
The Dentist exihibit...which Kater loved of course....she is really into the Dentist. In fact, here are some pics from a visit from "Uncle Chris, the Dentist" He taught her how to brush her teeth properly...so cute...
Back at the museum...Kate worked on the farm...picking veggies....
Sid rode horses...
Kater picked eggs from mechanical hens...we all milked a cow...and she rode a John Deer trike...
She dressed up and rode the fire truck...while Sid played in the 0 to 2 year old area...
Kate rolled up her pants and got dirty while digging for Dino fossils.
Here is Daddy in the big suit at the body exhibit...

We had a great time with Nana over Spring Break. Thank you so much Nana for coming to play, for all of your help, and for the great jump start at potty training!
We had a great picnic at the park...Nana even taught Kate to swing in the big swing and went down the slide with her!
